"Our customers spoke, and we listened." The New American Arrives:

On the morning of April 15, 1926, a young aviator named Charles A. Lindbergh stowed a bag of mail in his little DH-4 biplane and took off from Chicago for St. Louis. Later that day, he and two other pilots flew three plane loads of mail from St. Louis to Chicago.

Lindbergh's Biography
At the time, Lindbergh was chief pilot of Robertson Aircraft Corporation of Missouri, which was the second aviation company to hold a U.S. airmail contract. It was one of scores of companies that eventually consolidated to form the modern-day American Airlines.

The consolidation began in 1929, when The Aviation Corporation was formed to acquire young aviation companies, including Robertson. In 1930, The Aviation Corporation's airline subsidiaries were incorporated into American Airways, Inc. In 1934, American Airways became American Airlines, Inc.

A New Era:
As previously announced February 14, 2013, AMR and US Airways agreed to combine to create the new American Airlines, a premier global carrier. Headquartered in Dallas-Fort Worth, the new American Airlines will become a highly competitive alternative for consumers to other global carriers and is expected to offer more than 6,700 daily flights to 336 destinations in 56 countries. The combined airline will offer customers more choices and increased service across a larger worldwide network and through an enhanced oneworld® Alliance.

The Merger: Together, American Airlines and US Airways are expected to operate a mainline fleet of almost 950 aircraft and employ more than 100,000 team members worldwide. The merger is subject to regulatory approvals, approval by US Airways shareholders, other customary closing conditions and confirmation of American Airlines' Plan of Reorganization by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

"Our customers spoke, and we listened," said Suzanne Rubin, President – AAdvantage Loyalty Program at American Airlines. "We designed this partnership based on feedback from our AAdvantage members to deliver the benefits they want. Like our other partnerships, this will help better serve our valued AAdvantage members by giving them even more ways to earn miles."

Acknowledgement: American Airlines has flighted into the 21st century, but have they out-flown it's competitors? Notable Airlines that are now defunct/merged, such as Pan Am World Airways (1927 - 1991), Continental Airlines 1934-2010 integrated with United Airlines; founded 1926 (as Varney Airlines), and Northeast & Northwest Airlines (1927 - 2010) acquired by Delta Air Lines has been flying since 1924.
And of course, Trans World Airlines (TWA) has a history that dates back to the 1930's until it was bought out by and merged with American Airlines in 2001.

What Does the $11 Billion Dollar Airline Merger Mean for the 'Friendly Skies'?

What does it all mean? Airline business is an high in demand Service that Travelers have grown accustom to, by which Airlines must be on the cutting edge of innovation to appease their Customers. Otherwise, dissolution becomes an Airline's worst nightmare. Common sense right?, No!, there's more, the real Question is weather or not your Lifestyle depends on the services that Airlines provide (travel)? The Airline Industry is an old concept that seems to have outgrown itself; high time for new Technology & Evolution in the field of Air Travel.  May one or more beautiful minds Tap into the next phase of the Air Travel Experience.

Mergers, Partnerships and Joint Ventures  among the big-time business giants and longtime Establishments worldwide, clearly makes a statement and what does it mean ~ "OneWorld".

"Simply A Joy Shared Between All Women."

A Tradition that is centered around Heartfelt Memories:
As a young adult, Susan Beckman lived the life of an artist in Europe, she later ventured to the Monasteraki area of Athens, Greece. Such as "paradigm shift", a change from one way of thinking to another, perhaps a transformation at will --"I took everything I love to do, tucked it into a great big sack, shook it up, and out came Camille Beckman."

The Foundation
Susan C. Beckman Roghani:
'In the mid 90’s my husband and I started the Camille Beckman foundation with the purpose of serving the women, children and elderly of our world.
To date, we have worked with over 120 organizations to build orphanages, schools, educational programs, food banks, medical missions and much more. While we must accept we cannot be all things for all people, we are passionate about doing what we can for those whom our expertise can help the most. We envision a world where women are empowered with knowledge, freedom and opportunity; where children and elders care for each other, and where all beings realize their complete connection to the Earth and all that is.

May all beings have food to eat, clean air to breath, clean water to drink and shelter over their heads. May all beings have others to share love with and know their true purpose. May all beings be happy; may all beings be free from suffering.'

G&DA: Do you think that as a woman you approached doing business differently?
Susan C. Beckman Roghani:
"Yes, I know so. I don’t want to alienate any man, but men think a little bit differently and often they structure the offices differently. Women are used to juggling so many jobs that it stays in place in the workforce. They don’t think of assigning it to someone, they just roll up their sleeves and get it done."
